Who should attend:
Foster care families or any staff employed to care for consumers under the State of Florida’s Agency for Persons with Disabilities who wishes to participate in the administration of medication. This includes group homes, supported living or family homes. This course is to validate after a Medication Administration Course has been taken.
You must:
Demonstrate preparation, administration and documentation of medication with 100% accuracy. Validation consists of actual administration of medications.
Yearly Revalidation-
You never have to sit through the 6 hours class again as long as you revalidate your certificate every year
PRIOR to your expiration date. (You can revalidate within 60 days prior to the expiration.)
Upon successful completion of the medication validation course, participants will be issued a certificate of validation. It is the participant’s responsibility to maintain the certificate and ongoing, yearly validations.
